Mrs. C. B. Steadman

Mrs. Kizzie Lanford Steadman, 76, widow of Clinton Bomar Steadman, died at a local nursing home at 9:50 p.m. Thursday following an illness of 8 1/2 months.

She was a native of upper Greenville County, a daughter of the late William L. Lanford and Sarah Mitchell Manford. She lived in Spartanburg before coming to Greenville 51 years ago and formerly lived at 11 Whitner St.

She was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. W. L. McDaniel of Greenville; two sons, Grady Steadman of this city and James L. Steadman of La Canada, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. John Allen of Duncan; three brothers, J. D. Lanford of this city, Dr. W. L. Lanford of greer and C. C. Lanford of Atlanta; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by The Mackey Mortuary. The body is at the mortuary. The family is at the home of mrs. W. L. McDaniel, 10 Waccarmaw Ave.

The family requests that flowers be omitted.
