I'm sending some information on Cader Harrell. As you know, sometimes "what isn't found" is helpful in establishing where someone was not. I only found a John Haley, age 32, family, wife Eliza, age 24 Born TN, with 4 children, one was William age 6, born IL but I don't think this works for you.

1870 White Co IL Federal Census, Shelton & Myers, page 157 Cader Harrell, age 74, born NC was living in household of James Harrell, age 53, Born TN. Susan, 38 GA; John 20 IL; Thomas 13 IL; William 11 IL; Silas 08 IL; Franklin 05 IL; James 3/12 IL. I found no Caroline Harrell listed.

History of White Co IL, page 965, James C Harrell MD was born in Bear Creek Precinct, Gallatin Co, IL Aug 21 1847. His father, Benton R Harrell, was born ...in Indian Creek Precinct, his Grandfather, Cader Harrell was born in N C but his parents removed while he was yet a child to Sumner County, TN and from thence to KY, and shortly after his marriage he moved to White Co, IL at a very early period in its history, where he lived and died at a ripe old age, being among the pioneers...

I found no other reference to death or burial for Cader or Caroline Harrell.

James married Susan C. Keasler Bef 1874. Susan (daughter of James Keasler and Mary R. Gregg) was born Abt 1847, ____, ____, IL; died 1928, Omaha, Douglas Co., NE. [Group Sheet]
