Stanley Bedford White 1911 - 2004
Stanley Bedford White, of Parkland Dr., Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital, after a lengthy battle with cancer on Friday, February 13, 2004 at the age of 92.
Born in Lewisville on July 6, 1911, he was the son of the late Ola and Viola (Van Buskirk) White.
He attended Humphrey Memorial United Church and was a CNR Pensioner for many years. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. Prince Albert Lodge #26 and the International Order of Machinist.
He is survived by a daugther, Gloria White (Ken) of Oakville, Ont.; two sisters, Annie Carson of Moncton and Laura Hill (Irving) of Red Deer, AB; grandson, Michael White of Oakville, Ont., and a special long time companion, Mildred "Millie" Cook of Moncton.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Doris (Hill); brother, Millen and two sisters, Dorothy Hamilton and Vesta Murray.
Resting at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St., Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Tuttle Bros. Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at 2 pm with Rev. Andrew Richardson officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in the spring. Donations made to Canadian Cancer Society or to Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by Stanley's family. G. Millen White 86, of Pleasant Street, Moncton passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday May 11, 2002 surrounded by his family.
Born in Lewisville, son of the late Ora and Viola (VanBuskirk) White.
Millen was retired from C.N.R., attended Lewisville United Baptist Church, member of Prince Albert Lodge #26, I.O.O.F. Veteran of World War II, served with the Royal Canadian Army, Canadian Dental Core 1942-45.
Millen will be sadly missed by his wife of over 56 years Dorothy (Cormier) White; son, Dan Whyte (Eileen), Moncton; grandson, Daniel; step- granddaughter, Shera (Roger) RawlinesRichard; sisters, Annie Carson (late Kenneth), Moncton, Laura Hill (Irvine), Red Deer, AB; brother, Stanley White, Moncton. Several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by sisters; Dorothy Hamilton, Vesta Murray.
