    Gladys Petersen Steadman

    Gladys Petersen Steadman, 88, died Sept. 29, 1998 in Sandy, Utah.

    Born March 28, 1910 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Joseph Melvin and Christina Mae McSporran Petersen. Married LeRoy E. Steadman in West Jordan, Utah on Sept. 29, 1927. He died Feb. 28, 1994.

    Her journey here is ended, her journey there has begun, re-united with family and friends that went before. She left while surrounded by loving family members, her pain and suffering ended. The very example of the meaning of love and caring, she always put the needs of others ahead of her own. An example of courage and strength to the end, she will be greatly missed. We shed tears of happiness for her, and pain and sorrow for our loss.

    Survived by sons, Glen L. (Colleen); Jay M. (Ronna); David A. (Sheila); Dennis D. (Judy); 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine (Edward) Mann. Preceded in death by son, Lynn W.

    Funeral services Saturday, Oct. 3, 1998, at 11 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.

    Dennis D. Steadman 1950 ~ 2005

    Dennis D. Steadman left this life for a far better one on April 30, 2005. He is now rejoicing with his Savior and loved ones, free from the pain and burdens he bore so bravely while here on earth. Born May 18, 1950 to LeRoy and Gladys Steadman in Murray, Utah, and raised in Midvale, Utah. Dennis graduated from Hillcrest High School and later went on to serve in many positions with Salt Lake County Fire Department. He loved his career and felt blessed to have been so fortunate to serve in this capacity. He was given many health challenges in his life and learned some valuable lessons from them, most importantly, not to take anything for granted. Dennis was a friend to all. He knew how to love unconditionally. Dennis was a very big man in every sense of the word. He loved to serve and he loved the Lord. Dennis married Judy Davies in 1971, later divorced. Married to his best friend and soul mate, Holly J. Powell on Aug. 28, 1999. During their short time together, they traveled many places and had enough wonderful memories to last a lifetime. They truly loved each other and it was apparent to anyone who ever saw them together. Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Holly; children, Kevin, Andrea (Adam) Adair, Daniel (Jennifer), and Jessica (Rick); brothers, Glenn (Colleen), Jay, and Dave (Sheila); as well as 12 grandchildren whom he adored, and special nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by both parents; and brother, Lynn. We would like to thank the true friends who helped and loved him through his recent struggles. It meant more to us than you know. Memorial services will be Friday, May 6th at 1:00 p.m. at Gateway Community Church, 584 East 12300 So., Draper, Utah. Family and friends may call 12 to 1 p.m. at the church or from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please forgive someone in your life today, and extend a hand in friendship to someone who's lost their way.

    Our beloved father, grandfather, son, brother and husband, Ronald LeRoy Steadman, 44, passed away Aug. 5, 2001, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

    Born April 30, 1957 in Salt Lake City to Jay and Ronna Brooks Steadman. Married Vicki Rae Johnson in Salt Lake City in 1973, later divorced. Married Carla Jean Gray in Elko, Nev. in 1980, later divorced.

    Survived by children, Shelley (Daniel) Sullivan, Ronald LeRoy (Renee) Steadman, Jr., Amy Dawn Steadman, and T.J. Steadman; four grandchildren; parents, Ronna and Jay Steadman; brothers, Michael (Kathy), Tony (Lynda), Tim (Carol), John, and Greg; stepchildren, Allie Cutler and Chris Bee.

    Funeral services Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at 1:30 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, where friends may call Wed. 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.

    He will be missed.
