    Glen Verl Margetts

    Father Glen Verl Margetts, 79, passed away July 26, 2007 in West Jordan, Utah.

    He was born Feb. 19, 1928 in West Jordan to Lester Rolland and Adeline Whittle Margetts.

    He married Audrey Colleen Blanchard in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 12, 1948. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple May 25, 1977. She passed away June 4, 2006.

    He was a graduate of Jordan High School and attended LDS Business College. He was an investment banking officer at Walker and First Interstate Banks, and also was a mink rancher. He was active in the LDS Church, serving as a financial clerk and on the High Council. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and a kind, loving and gentle disposition.

    He is survived by sons, Steven, Sherman (Sherry), Paul (Brenda), and Cory (Christy); ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lynn (Marla) Margetts. preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jaynee and Jeremy.

    Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the West Jordan 29th Ward, 6695 South 2200 West. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Tuesday 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates. Condolences may be sent to www.goffmortuary.com.

    Glen married Audrey Colleen Blanchard 12 May 1948, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., UT. Audrey (daughter of Joseph Vern Blanchard and Edna Andrea Gunderson) was born 14 Jun 1929, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., UT; died 4 Jun 2006; was buried 8 Jun 2006, Redwood Memorial Estates, Redwood, Salt Lake Co., UT.
