Keith Romney died December 9, 2003 in Albuquerque, N.M.
Born April 21, 1913 in El Paso, TX to Miles A. Romney and Frances Turley Romney. He graduated from Colonial Juarez Academy as Valedictorian. He was married 69 years to Ruth Call Romney. Keith was an entrepreneur, and business man. He also worked as a
Dodge and John Deere dealer in Las Cruces, N.M.
As a life-long scouter, he received the Silver Beaver Award. He was very active in the LDS Church, serving in numerous capacities including bishop, stake presidency, and as stake patriarch. He served as president for both the West Spanish American and South East Mexican missions. After his missions Keith graduated from NMSU with a MA degree in Spanish History, graduating at the top of his class. A friend to those in need, he was the best father, greatest grandpa and great-grandpa. Keith love hunting and fishing in the N.M. Black Range and took many friends and family with him to enjoy the experience.
Survived by wife, Ruth; children, Carolyn (Dr. John) Bennett; Albuquerque, N.M.; Keith "Kit" (Julie) Romney, Salt Lake City; Bryan (Lore Lei) Romney, Salt Lake City; 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dennison Romney, Pleasant Grove; and Charles (Margie) Romney, Ruidoso, N.M. Preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am. Saturday, Dec. 13th, at the Murray 15th Ward, 5555 South 700 West. Viewing will be 9:30 to 10:15 am prior to services. Interment, Brigham City Cemetery. Directed by Myers Mortuary of Brigham City.
There will also be a memorial service at the Idaho Chapel, 2915 E. Idaho Ave. in Las Cruces, N.M. on January 10, 2004 at 11 a.m.
