Marriage Announcement:
- Home Wedding Unites Miami Girl, Alabaman
An improvised altar banked with palms, gladioli and white lilies form the setting for the marriage of Miss Evelyn Farris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William L. Farris, to Edward Wilson Hamilton, son of Dr. and Mrs. Samuel G. Hamilton, Tuscaloosa, Ala., which took place at 6. p. m. yesterday at the home of the bride's parents, 1601 N. W. 32nd st.
The Rev. C. R. Pittard performed the ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white crepe dress with matching accessories and a corsage of white orchids and lily of the valley. Her only jewelry was a strand of pearls borrowed from Miss Elizabeth Armstrong. Miss Margie Frye, maid of honor, chose pale blue with dusty pink accessories. She wore a corsage of sweetheart roses. Dr. Donald W Smith, Gainesville, was best man.
Mrs. Farris was attired in dusty pink and an orchid corsage. Mrs. Hamilton, mother of the bridegroom, wore delicate blue and an orchid corsage. A reception followed the ceremony at the Farris' home.
The couple left immediately on a short wedding trip before going to Louisiana where they will reside. Out of town guests at the wedding included Mrs. Hamilton and Mrs. Drew Swords, Gainesville; Mrs. Gladys Price and Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Godwin, Fort Lauderdale.
