Notes |
- From Harold Stedman Pedigree chart transcribed by Nick Stedman, June 2010:
bap at Sevenoaks 17 Sep 1782. Miller of Star Hill Rochester. Nup. Miss Bond of Chatham Co Kent. Ob 2 April 1845. Sep. in St Margarets Churchyard.
___________
From Nick Stedman, June 2012:
Wm s of Nat (17 Nov 1782)
This is the son of Nat jnr. He is buried on 9 April 1845 in St Margaret's Rochester aged 63. He caused his parents some problems (see Nat. Jr's Will). He married Mary Bond and had two children, William and Maria.
In his mother's Will, which I have written out but not yet typed, whenever William is written down so are two other names. They are two 'minders' or more likely two creditors (one is also a miller).
William's son, also Wm, died a year later and is also buried in St Margaret's 3rd Jun 1846 (age 30 years). He wrote a rather brief Will on 6 May 1846 witnessed by Elizabeth Bond, Lucy Bond and Thos Littlewood who also witnessed his father's Will. There is a longer codicil to the Will which I haven't yet transcribed.
According to Harold Stedman he had two children, William and Ada both born in Rochester. William emigrated to Australia.
