Elizabeth Darbe, of Stockbridge, Berkshire Co., MA. They settled in Richford, Tioga Co, NY where eldest son, WH, was b. June 28, l829. Enoch mfg. gloves and mittens, but had a farm near
the village where family lived most of the time. Family moved to Indian Land, on the bank of the Buffalo Lake, Marquette Co., Wisconsin.
Brevard County SAT BOOK 2 PAGE 152 Elizabeth states that she is widow of Enoch.
Notes from Tioga County Historical Association, Owego, NY, sent by Dolores Vasilow via computer network, Prodigy, her # CPCF40A, sent Sept 08, 1993: "Enoch was in western Town of Berkshire. I think West Creek Rd. Found old map lot #381 very close to Tompkins Co.".

Between Enoch Gleasen of the town of Richford, County of Tioga, NY and Elizabeth his wife of the first part and William Torry of the town of Berkshire of the County of Tioga ... party of the second part. Enoch sold to Torry for $850.00. All that certain piece of land situated in the town of Richford County of Tioga Co, NY, it being a certain Mill privilege on lot #464 in the Grand Division of the Massachusetts ten Townships so called and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at a stake and stone standing in the south line of said lot the same being the corner of Plat of Gross and Orange Howards land thence running due west one chain and twenty five links thence north two degrees west sixty nine links thence north fifteen degrees east eighty four links thence north thirty four degrees west three chains and thirteen links thence west twenty two degrees north two chains and seventy four links thence west twenty four degrees north four chains and twenty three links thence north thirty eight degrees east one chain and nine links thence east thirty nine degrees south seven chains and thirty seven links thence south twenty four degrees east four chains and twenty two links to the place of beginning containing one acre and thirteen rods of land exact measure. etc, etc.

All of that certain piece of land situate in the town of Richford, Tioga Co, NY, it being a certain Mill Privilege one lot lot number 465 in the Grand Division of the Massachusetts Ten Townships and bounded as follows to wit Beginning at a stake and stone standing in the south line of said lot the same being the corner of Platt Grosv. and Orange Howard ? land thence running due west one chain and twenty five links thence west forty one degrees north two chains and fifty seven links thence north two degrees sixty nine links thence north 15 degrees east 86 links thence north 34 degrees west three chains and thirteen links thence west thirty two degrees north two chains and seventy four links thence swest twenty four degrees north four chains and twenty three links thence south thirty eight degrees east one chain and nine links thence east thirty nine degrees south seven chains and thirty seven links thence south twenty four degrees east four chains and seventy two links to the place of beginning containing one acre and seventeen rods of land exact measure.
