  	LAPP.- June 22nd in Shelby Co., Mo., of consumption, Bro. ELIAS LAPP, aged 26 years, 1 month and 1 day. Buried the 29th, when appropriate remarks were made by Benj. Hershey in German, and -------- Colebanks in English, from 1 Peter: 1:23,24. Death takes the young as well as the aged. He leaves a deeply bereaved widow and three children to mourn the loss of a dear husband and father, who mourn not as those having no hope. He early united with the church of his choice, and has been a faithful brother. He expressed his willingness to die, and go to his home above. He said to his wife not to weep for him. A few days previous to his death he selected the hymn to be sung at his funeral:  "Dear friends farewell, I do you tell."
