"Court at Willard Hazard's, Nicholas Gould the 2nd Sued Gideon Greenman & Daniel B. Clarke for hampering his Sheep and Killing Some of them but they setled it; alowed him 8 Dollars for the Sheep. Cost 16 Dollars."

This confirms Daniel Stedman's relationship to Gideon. His father's sister Hannah was Gideon's wife. Daniel mentions this relationship several times in the Journal.
