HALLIE LADD McMURPHY Funeral services were held for HALLIE LADD McMURPHY, 79, of Lucedale, February 20, 2002, at 2 p.m. from Sigler Funeral Home Chapel. She was a native of Mobile, AL., and a homemaker. She was a member of the Lucedale Woman's Club, Mobile Junior League and the Esther Kirkwood Circle. A member of Lucedale First United Methodist Church, she died February 19 at George County Hospital. She is survived by four sons, DOUGLAS T. (JUDY) LUCE, JR. of Lucedale; MARION B. (MELINDA) McMURPHY, JR., and JOHN S. (ANNA) McMURPHY, both of Mobile, AL. and HENRY (ROXANNA) McMURPHY of Bolivia, South America; three daughters, MICKEY (CHARLIE) LUCE BROWN of Lucedale, ALICE M. (JOEY) JONES and CATHERINE (MARK) HIERONYMUS, both of Mobile, AL. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, AUSTIN BROWN, EMILY BROWN, CHARLIE BROWN, MIC BROWN, LAURIE (VAN) VAN LINGEN, HOWARD LADD LUCE, WARD HIERONYMUS, BROOK HIERONYMUS, FORREST HIERONYMUS, BETH McMURPHY, STEADMAN McMURPHY, BANCROFT McMURPHY, JORDAN JONES, CATHERINE JONES and HUNTER JONES and one great grandson, PETE vanLINGEN. She was preceded in death by her husband, DR. MARION BANCROFT "BENNIE" McMURPHY, SR. Interment was held at Magnolia Cemetery with Rev. Bill Poole officiating the services.
