    • St. Lawrence Juniors Married at Ogdensburg

The many friends of Reginald Short and Miss Hazel Allen, popular members of the class of '18, of St. Lawrence University, were pleasantly surprised when it was announced Saturday thet they had been at Ogdensburg that morning and were married by a clergyman of that city. Mr. Short was oneof the three St. Lawrence men who enlisted a few days ago for foreign service in the Flower Hospital Corps and was home on a short furlough. The young couple had been engaged about a year and their marriage was hastened on account of the enlistment and impending departure of Mr. Short for the war front.

They returned to Canton Saturday afternoon and went to Malone later in the day on a visit. That evening there came a telegram calling the groom to report for duty Monday. He was communicated with and he returned to Canton with his bride Sunday, and left by the afternoon train with his corps comrades, Chars. P. Reynolds and Isaac Noble for New York. Mrs. Short took the evening train for her home in Massena.

Mr. Short is the son of Mrs. Charles Short of Jay Street, a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity at the University and well known in athletic circles on the Hill. Mrs. Short was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Fi and a favorite in college circles.
