  	LEWIS STEADMAN RUSHVILLE -- Lewis R. Steadman, 87, of Rushville died at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 1997, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 29, 1909, in Schuyler County to John and Anna Belle Wright Steadman, he married Marie Wheelhouse on April 9, 1932, in Ripley. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Tom (Phyllis) Tomlinson of Round Rock, Texas; two brothers, Leslie of Bryant and Russell of Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Maxine Bedenbender of Littleton and Dorothy Hendricks of Rushville; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death. He worked for Gain Bros. Nursery for 22 years. He then became foreman of the night shipping department at Bart low Bros., retiring in 1964 after 22 years. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Wood-Roby Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Scott Henley will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the chapel. Burial will be in Rushville City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cass-Schuyler Home Health Care.
