  	Richard 'Dick' Hendricks Richard L. "Dick" Hendricks, 63, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday, June 20, 2004, at his residence. He was born June 16, 1941, in Ripley, the son of Allen J. and Dorothy Irene Steadman Hendricks. He married Penny Kallenbach on Aug. 31, 1990, in Mt. Sterling. She survives. He had worked as a truck driver for McNay Truck Lines and Thompson Trucking, both in Quincy and Dot Foods in Mt. Sterling. He had also worked for Oscar Mayer in Beardstown. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1959 until 1963. He attended Ripley School and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Sterling. He also was a member of Mt. Sterling American Legion Post 374 and always enjoyed restoring antique tractors and gas engines, hunting and reading. Survivors include his wife, Penny Hendricks of Mt. Sterling; three sons, Charles Hendricks (wife Betsy) of Riverton, and Jacob and Mathew Hendricks, both at home; two grandchildren; one brother, Wayne Hendricks (wife Cathryn) of Ripley; two sisters, Reta Darlene Rutledge (husband Roland) of Ripley and Annette Jones (husband James) of Arenzville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2004, in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling with Rev. Dan Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Ripley Cemetery. A military service will be conducted at the graveside. Friends may call anytime after 4 p.m. on Friday with the family meeting friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Friends also may call from 8 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Mt. Sterling Building Fund Mortgage or the Cornerstone Christian Church Youth Group. Condolences for the family may be left online as www.hendrickerfh.com.
