  	Harley Cole, age 88 of Gary, passed away July 17, 1994 at the Madison Hospital in Madison, MN. Harley was born November 12, 1905 on a farm in Antelope Valley, north of Gary, a son of Ernest and Ida (Vandarwarka) Cole. His mother died when he was three years old and he was raised by his grandparents Harley and Ann Cole. He grew up and attended rural schools north of Gary and he graduated from Gary High School. He as united in marriage to Edith Lansing on June 27, 1930 at Hastings, MN. He lived in several locations in South Dakota while he worked with the State Highway Department. In 1945 he moved to Clear Lake where he was the Highway Superintendent for Deuel County. He retired and moved to Gary in 1967. His wife, Edith, passed away in March of 1989. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Gary and he was a former member of the Methodist Men's Group in Clear Lake. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Cornelia) Limberg of Marietta, MN; three grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Jean Cole of Riverside, CA. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Harlan, and his parents. Funeral Services Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 20, 1994 at 10:00 a.m. in the United Methodist Church at Gary with Rev. Bruce Gray officiating. Special musical selections, "Crossing The Bar" and "His eye Is On The Sparrow" were sung by Jan Olsen Schnauser, accompanied by her mother, Margaret Olsen. The congregation sang "In The Garden", Hymn No. 314. Margaret Olsen was the organist. Casketbearers were Harvey Nelson, David Taylor, Erick Koeppen, Leon Kaiser, Perry Heaton and Robert Briggs. Burial was in the Grandview Cemetery at Gary. The family expresses their gratitude for your support and presence today. Following the graveside services, all relatives and friends are invited to return to the church for lunch and a time of sharing with the family.
