  	Gladys Petersen Steadman Gladys Petersen Steadman, 88, died Sept. 29, 1998 in Sandy, Utah. Born March 28, 1910 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Joseph Melvin and Christina Mae McSporran Petersen. Married LeRoy E. Steadman in West Jordan, Utah on Sept. 29, 1927. He died Feb. 28, 1994. Her journey here is ended, her journey there has begun, re-united with family and friends that went before. She left while surrounded by loving family members, her pain and suffering ended. The very example of the meaning of love and caring, she always put the needs of others ahead of her own. An example of courage and strength to the end, she will be greatly missed. We shed tears of happiness for her, and pain and sorrow for our loss. Survived by sons, Glen L. (Colleen); Jay M. (Ronna); David A. (Sheila); Dennis D. (Judy); 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine (Edward) Mann. Preceded in death by son, Lynn W. Funeral services Saturday, Oct. 3, 1998, at 11 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
