- Allen Bernell Warner, 91, of Spanish Fork, Utah, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2004, at Hearthstone Manor in Spanish Fork. He was born March 21, 1913, in Spanish Fork, Utah, to William and Rosa Della Mooney Warner. He married Leona Witney Winnie on November 18, 1937, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on June 14, 2002.
Allen graduated from Spanish Fork High School. He was employed at Geneva Steel for over 30 years. He was also a crossing guard in Spanish Fork for 25 years and enjoyed helping the children. He liked fishing, gardening, and reading. He especially loved being with his family, and helping all family and friends in need.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served 22 years as a temple worker in the Provo LDS Temple. He and his wife served a mission in the Cody, Wyoming Mission.
Allen is survived by his children: Elaine (Kenneth) Ellsworth of Spanish Fork; Robert (Jane) Warner of Vancouver, WA; Gayle (Bruce) Peterson of Spanish Fork; Bernell (Pauline) Warner of Delta; Shirley (Glen) Christensen of Spanish Fork; Saralee (Clark) Swenson of Spanish Fork; 32 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Spencer Warner, of Salt Lake City, Utah. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona; daughter, Collene Jameson; granddaughter, Nadine Ellsworth; great-grandsons, William Warner and Zackery Ellsworth; 11 brothers and sisters; and his parents.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 30, 2004, at 11 a.m., in the Spanish Fork 5th Ward Chapel, 1006 East 200 South. Friends may call on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Family Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork; and, on Monday, at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to Hearthstone Manor for the kind and loving care given to their father and grandfather over the past several months.
