      Marshall was born Edward Marshall Stedman, in Bethel, Maine. Not much was written about Marshall. He married actress Myrtle Stedman, to whom they sired one son, Lincoln Stedman, who went on to become an actor also. Myrtle passed in 1938, and Lincoln died 5 years after dad in 1948. None of them are buried together. Lincoln and Myrtle are both in LA County cemeteries. Marshall acted from 1912-1919 in silent films.
