The ceremony was performed in the Russian Cathedral on East 97th street by the Rev. Dr. Turkewitz and the Russian ceremony was used. A reception followed the wedding.

Their engagement was announced in April. Miss de Chrapovitsky wore white chiffon, embroidered with pearls, white satin train and tulle veil and carried lilies-of-the-valley. In accordance with the Russian custom there were no bridesmaids.

Instead of attendants the bride was escorted by several ushers preceded by the icon bearer, little Brince Gagarin, son of the Prince and Princess Gagarin, who have been in this country all Winter. Her ushers were Ross S. Gates and Nathaniel Landon of new York, also two Russian friends, Baron Taube and Baron Solovieff.

THe bride's mother is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Taylor of Milford. Mr. Auchincloss graduated from Yale in 1920 and in 1922 went to Russia as a New York representative of the Student's Friendship Fund, which assisted students in Russian universities.
