    Notes
    • Enoch and Daniel Steadman moved to Boston where Daniel died early.

Enoch married Abbie C. Woodbury, a native of Ipswich, Massachusetts. They had two sons: Frank Elmer Steadman, who died early (in 1865), and Frederick Enoch Steadman.

Enoch went to Boston in his youth and for some time was engaged in farming in the vicinity.  Later, he went into the trucking business, becoming a member of the firm of Holt, Steadman and Co.  Enoch was a properous businessman in Boston and was so successful that he was able to retire about 1880 with a comfortable fortune.  This period was spent in comfort and ease in the city of Boston of which he was a well-known and respected resident.

He died in 1895 and is buried in Forest Hills Cemetery.
