      Helen R. Hall, 86, of Mechanicsburg, went to be with her Lord February 17, 2005 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.

      Born August 5, 1918 in Osceola, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Eva (Steadman) VanDusen.

      She had lived at Messiah Village since 2002.

      Helen had attended the former Mansfield State Teacher's College. She was a member of Camp Hill Presbyterian Church, where she served as a
      deacon and taught Sunday school classes; she was also a fifty year member and Past Matron of the Elkland Chapter #134, of the Order of the Eastern Star and had volunteered at several local nursing homes for many years. She was a former member of the West Shore Country Club, Camp Hill.

      Mrs. Hall was the widow of E. Francis Hall, who passed away in 2001.

      Surviving are a son and his wife, Edwin F. and Kate Hall of Media; a daughter and her husband, Linda and Bill Blacksmith of Indiana, PA; a sister, Marion McBurnie of Florida; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Col. Joseph and Evelyn Hensby of Ohio. She was known as "Bam" by her 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren that survive her. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

      Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in her church. A viewing will be held from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, in the East Narthex of the church. Graveside services will be held at noon Monday, in the Fairview Cemetery, Osceola, PA.

      Myers-Harner Funeral Home, Camp Hill, is in charge of arrangements.
