  	IRENE DUFFY, 96 NEW BEDFORD -- Irene (Barlow) Duffy, 96, formerly of East Freetown, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, at New Bedford Health Care Center. She was the widow of Joseph F. Duffy. Born Oct. 18, 1908, in Oldham, Lancashire, England, she was the daughter of the late William Barlow and Gertrude (Downs) Stedman. She lived in New Bedford and spent most of her life in Dartmouth and Freetown. She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Mrs. Duffy was a homemaker, and many years ago she was a bookkeeper for Gulf Hill Dairy. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Gurney and her husband, David J., of East Freetown; a son, John Duffy and his wife, Marjorie, of Fairhaven; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Acushnet Cemetery, Acushnet. Arrangements are by Donaghy-Hathaway Funeral Home, 465 County St.
