  	George H. Steadman George H. Steadman, 78, a Bethesda justice of the peace, died Friday in Suburban Hospital after a six-month illness. He lived at 10309 Armory Ave,, Kensington. A native of Blackville, SC, and a graduate of The Citadel, Mr. Steadman came to this area 16 years ago. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mildred Warthen Steadman; a son, Clyde, of Columbia, SC; a daughter, Mrs. W. B. Haslett, of Philadelphia, and a sister, Mrs. May Nelson, of Decatur, Ga. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the Pumphrey Funeral Home, 7557 Wisconsin ave., Bethesda. Burial will be in Damascus.

Pumphrey, Bethesda, Md., where services will be held Monday, March 28, at 2 p.m. Interment Damascus Methodist Church Cemetery.

  	Barton-Steadman says that he was buried at the Methodist Church Cemetery in Damascus. There are at least two Methodist Churches in Damascus and I am not sure which one he is buried at.
  Notes	George Henry Steadman was a graduate of the The Citadel in Charleston. For a number of years, he was a trial magistrate in Columbia. About 1939, he moved to the  Washington, DC, area. He was a Justice of the Peace in Bethesda, Maryland, but his home was in nearby Kensington, MD.
