Born in South Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Nellie (Vanbuskirk) Steadman. She was a member of Berwick Baptist Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by four sons, Arthur, Aylesford; Perley Jr., Berwick; Clyde, Waterville; George, Somerset; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Perley Sr.; daughter, Jean MacDow; six sisters, Eva, Elsie, Queenie, Emma, Susie, Dorothy; three brothers, Arthur, Cecil, Harold; grandson, Gerry England; a great-grandson. No visitation by request. Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Berwick, Rev. Gordon Walker officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Donations may be made to Grand View Manor, Berwick or Alzheimers Society of Nova Scotia.
