Margaret Ferguson had a sister, Ann Ferguson who married Thomas Willis White, founder of the "SOUTHERN LITERARY MESSENGER."
Two of the White daughters married Stedmans, and a grandson, Col. William Bernard, married Margaret Stedman, daughter of Nathan A. Stedman.

Nathan A. Stedman, Oran A. Stedman, Patsey King, Nancy Poe, G. W. Golston and wife Elizabeth, Andrew J. Stedman and others, heirs at law of Wm. Winship Stedman, the heirs of John C. Stedman and of Thomas H. Holbert and wife Mary, Wm. W. Stedman, Stephen Stedman, and Robert Stedman, the three last infants under twenty-one years of age by their guardian and next friend Thomas Huey, ex parte.
Pursuant to an order of the Court of Equity, for the County of Chatham, made at Fall Term 1859, the undersigned, Clerk and Master, will proceed to sell at the Court House door in the Town of Pittsboro', on the 15th day of November next, being Tuesday of County Court, the land in the petition mentioned and described as "a house and lot in the Town of Pittsboro', with a store attached, and known as the "Yellow House" and lot, containing one acre." Being in the centre of the Town, and near the Court House, for business purposes it is perhaps the most valuable and desirable lot in the Town. Is well situated for business of any sort, and is a convenient and eligible spot for a good Hotel. The attention of business men is called to this sale.
Terms of Sale - A credit of twelve months will be given to the purchaser with good security, entering into bond bearing interest from date for the amount of the purchase money.
