I have a painting made of her about the time of her marriage. It was never satisfactory and her husband had the hatchet in his hand to chop it up when he destroyed the companion portrait of himself but his heart failed him. She died a year before her husband, of some distress of the liver, and he was very lonely, as I remember. Both she and her husband were Congregationalists, though I think he never joined the church.
