  	Muriel "Mert" E. Fulton, 65, of Forsyth passed away on Monday, July 11, 2005, at her home from natural causes. Mrs. Fulton was born Aug. 23, 1939, in Beach, North Dakota the daughter of Harrison and Lucille Playle Stedman. She grew up and was educated in the Sentinel Butte area. Following her graduation she and Maynard Fulton were united in marriage on June 3, 1958, in the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beach. To this union their children Ellen, Leroy, Tim, Ellen and Alicia were born and many other children became family including Jeff, Donny and Robin. Mr. and Mrs. Fulton made their home in Fort Ord, Calif., where he served his country. After his honorable, discharge they moved back to the Montana and North Dakota area until settling in Forsyth in 1974. While in Forsyth she owned and operated Mert's Big Sky Caf and the Rails Inn Caf. Her home was open to everyone, which made her rich with friends. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, fabric painting, baking and especially baking for her children and grandchildren, as well as doting on her dogs. Mrs. Fulton was very active in the American Legion Auxiliary and the Concordia Lutheran Church where she was helped in whatever role she was needed. Mrs. Fulton was a mother to all who walked through her door. Her survivors include her husband, Maynard of Forsyth; children Jeff (Colleen) Tesdal of East Helena, Leroy Fulton of Sparks, Nev., Donny (Jackie) Hayes of Hayden, Colo., Tim (Jo) Fulton of Forsyth, Robin (David) Craig of Billings and Alicia (Erik) Fritz of Forsyth. Survivors also include her grandchildren, Stacey and Lisa Tesdal, Mariea and Patricia Fjelstad, Beth and Stephanie Young, Peter Fritz, Jake Fulton, Chasmine, Kyle, Daryl, Kayla, Teajay, Mariska Fulton, Emilee Craig, Kaitlynn and Keenan Hayes and many other "grandchildren" as well as the entire Stedman and Fulton clan and her many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Lucille Stedman; her daughter, Ellen Fjelstad; her grandson, Aaron Fulton; and her nephew, Will Stedman. Funeral services were on Thursday, July 14, 2005, at 2 p.m. in the Concordia Lutheran Church in Forsyth. Interment followed in the Forsyth Cemetery.
