Dent Township of the County of San Joaquin, State of California, shall include all that portion of the county described as follows:

Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Mariposa Road with the center line of Jack Tone Road near the ¼ Section corner on the westerly line of Section 30, Township 1 North, Range 8 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian; thence southerly along the center of said Jack Tone Road 4 ½ miles, more or less, to the southwest corner of Section 18, Township 1 South, Range 8 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian; thence easterly along the southerly line of Sections 18, 17, 16 and 15, Township 1 South, Range 8 East, 4 miles to the intersection of the center line of Avena Road with the center line of Carrolton Road; thence southerly along the center of said Carrolton Road 5 ¾ miles, more or less, to its intersection with the center line of River Road; thence southerly along the westerly line of Sections 14 and 23, Township 2 South, Range 8 East, 1 ¼ miles, more or less, to a point on the southerly boundary of San Joaquin County in the center of the Stanislaus River; thence along said southerly boundary of San Joaquin County, meandering the center line of said Stanislaus River in a general easterly and northeasterly direction, 12 miles, more or less, to its intersection with the easterly boundary of San Joaquin County; thence northerly along said easterly boundary of San Joaquin County 8 ½ miles, more or less, to the intersection of said boundary with the center of Carter Road at the southeast corner of Section 36, Township 1 North, Range 9 East; thence westerly along the center of Carter Road, 4 miles to the center of Escalon-Bellota Road at the southwest corner of Section 33 of Township 1 North, Range 9 East; thence northerly along the center of Escalon-Bellota Road ½ mile to the center of Gawne Road at the ¼ Section corner on the westerly line of said Section 33; thence westerly along the center of said Gawne Road 6.10 miles, more or less, to its intersection with the center line of Mariposa Road near the ¼ Section corner on the easterly line of Section 32, Township 1 North, Range 8 East; thence northwesterly and westerly along the center of said Mariposa Road 2 1/3 miles, more or less, to the point of beginning.
